In February of 2014, Eva Gallant with Y-Knot-Creations, LLC. was invited to join a group of artists for the Westlake Public Art Society’s annual Artist In Residence program. This program matches professional artists with high caliber students to produce a piece of artwork to be auctioned at their Gallery Night Gala to benefit Westlake Academy.
Only 18 artists are invited into this elite group and Eva had the joy and pleasure of working with the 8th Grade of highly enthusiastic and motivated International Baccalaureate students! During this process, the children were absolutely mesmerized by the wide variety of techniques and artistic disciplines that Eva demonstrated. Through her tutelage, they were able to learn exciting mediums such as faux textures and foiling and gilding and were able to put this all together to create a beautiful, mixed media work of art that fetched an excellent price on Gala night.
